SCONIERS HOMELESS
PREVENTIVE ORGANIZATION

WELCOME
Homelessness and the "Un-Housed" has become a component that that has touched so many lives. Whether it is the life of a child, and family member or if you are finding yourself homeless when you never thought it could possibly happen. It has become a crisis for the State of Georgia and especially in the counties South of Atlanta. Finding affordable housing for mothers with children is virtually impossible without the assistance of those who have and know of resources to help these women get back on their feet and see "hope" to provide a safe home for themselves and their families. The children who suffer homelessness in our area increases monthly. Our purpose is to educate, empower and prevent this growing epidemic. The odds are not good for children who grow up in broken, poverty stricken homeless families without guidance and essential needs met. We not only want to end this, we want to give our clients and their families a hope and a future with a firm foundation. It can be overwhelming for anyone in this crisis, and although there are quite many resources available, the average person who finds themselves in this position does not know whom or where to reach out. We want to the be "middle man" for various resources we know of that will benefit these precious families and provide not only the essentials to survive, but the Tools to overcome and lead successful lives and are able to contribute back to Society. It does "Take a Village" and we want to encourage the unfortunate that they are not alone and we are committed to helping them and guiding them along their journey. Homelessness does not discriminate and some are just one paycheck away from finding themselves "unhoused". Together, we can tackle one family at a time with one resource at a time to make a difference here in our county. There has also been quite an epidemic of addiction and mental health issues for those who find themselves homeless and we want to address that and offer the services we know to treat and rehabilitate each person to become their very best version of themselves. All it takes is "One" person or community to believe and lend and hand and we are certainly here for that. Below are a list of resources with websites and phone numbers we have collected as of the first of this year.
